AutoCAD for Architecture

Developed for the experienced AutoCAD user, the AutoCAD for Architecture course will cover the creation of 2D architectural drawings. This course follows the same 15 unit format found in the Fundamentals of AutoCAD courses.

Note: Students completing the Architectural specialization in the Fundamentals class should NOT register for this class. This course is designed for students who did not complete the architectural specialization when enrolled in the Fundamentals class. Prospective students with a solid background in AutoCAD and looking to learn more about creating architectural drawings would also be eligible for this course.

AutoCAD for Architecture Cost

This includes the entire AutoCAD for Architecture course.

Textbook: $35.00

Course Registration Procedure

1. Make sure you have the REQUIRED SOFTWARE.
Required Software

AutoCAD is not supplied as part of your enrollment and registration fees. You must have access to the correct version of AutoCAD to successfully complete the course. If you need access to AutoCAD check out the Student Version.

2. Register For the Course.
Credit Card Registration

Credit Card. Selecting the credit card option will take you to a secure site where you can register for the class via the internet. You also have the option of registering for the course using a credit card over the phone. We use CyberCash for the on-line transactions, the leading provider of secure Internet payment solutions worldwide.

Mail Registration

Mail. Selecting the mail option take you to a form you can fill out and register for the non-credit class via the internet. After filling out the form, your space will be secured in the course for 5 business days, giving your payment time to arrive via conventional mail. You will need to send your payment for the appropriate course fee to the address listed on the form. Acceptable forms of payment are personal check, money order, or company purchase order.

The course will use Architecture Drafting Workbook by Jay Zirbel (ISBN 0-13-016818-1).

Refund Policy
Students are eligible for a full refund of tuition if officially withdrawn from class before the start date. NO refunds will be issued on textbooks and other course material. Students requesting withdrawal from a class must do so by sending an E-MAIL to cadregister@cadinstitute.com. Tuition refunds that result from officially withdrawing will be made in accordance with the following dates:

Additional Information

bulletKeep in mind this course covers many advanced features found in AutoCAD. You MUST have a sound working knowledge of AutoCAD to enroll. You should expect to spend a MINIMUM of 5 hours per week on the course during the 8 week time period.
bulletIn addition to the pre-requisite for the course, you should also be familiar with basic computer operations. You should know how to use E-MAIL to send and receive files, feel comfortable using the internet, be familiar with basic file management procedures (creating a subdirectory, opening and closing a file etc).
